Am in total agreement with you! I taught my kids from small everything in life starts and ends with you. If you cannot love yourself, how can you love anyone else? If you cannot take pride in yourself, how can you expect others to take pride in you? You get the idea. There is absolutely nothing with putting yourself first in life. This idea that you cannot do so because "it's vain" it's arrogance" subconsciously tells your psyche that you are not worthy of being first.
