I think the problem is that people usually jump straight to going on assistance the moment something happens. If you’ve got kids, yea it’s no question, do it. BUT, if you try going without first, you’d prolly spend your food monies more wisely. I can’t imagine having real food monies. That sounds amazing.

Maybe that’s the way people who have resources think about it then? That people dont “try” hard enough. Food is expensive, when it’s cold you need more of it. It’s a sick cycle where you just keep bleeding resources.

Can the world end yet, so I don’t have to pay to renew my license plates and before the county takes my house for failure to pay property taxes? The roads are shit, the schools are shit. Why the fuck is any of that my responsibility to pay towards?
