Let's continue our journey to trace Owls and Y-heads around the world. I'm examining traditional warrior costumes/helmts from different countries.

So far found Y-heads on Japanese Samurai helmets; something similar in one era of ancient Korea; and traditional Timor, Indonesia.

Found NO Y-heads in most of Korea, India, China, Thailand, Mongolia.

Now examining (1) Viking, (2) Russian knights, (3) Roman, (4) Greek, (5) Ottoman. NO Y-heads found on traditional warrior helmets with just 1 exception on one Ottoman helmet.

Pics related.

One horned Bronze-age helmet found in Denmark museum. Not sure what culture it was from. It's an isolated example.

NONE found in traditional warrior costumes of Scots, Irish, pict, Celt, Druid, Sparta.

The traditional Polish Hussar warrior costume features something like massive wings attached low in the back and extending far above the head. Pic 2. I don't think we'd consider this a Y-head.

Did not see Y-head among traditional African warrior garb. Lots of outlandish headgear, yes, but not the antler-type head-toppers.

and below:

I found an ancient culture that DOES feature Y-head (2-horned animal heads) in its artwork and iconography. The Proto-Elamite culture existed in ancient Iran around 3400BC - 2500BC if you believe the accepted scholarly dating and historical timeline (which I'm not sure whether I do). Anyway, pic 1 and 2, proto Elamite.

They seem to have admired the bull.
