KY Prosecutor Confirms: Multiple Investigations Underway Into Twitter Users For TERRORIST THREATS Against Covington Kids

Rob Sanders, a Kenton County Prosecutor, confirmed Tuesday that there are multiple investigations into Twitter users who made terroristic threats against Covington Catholic High School.

“We’ve got multiple ongoing investigations into numerous, numerous threats,” Mr. Sanders said Tuesday in a podcast interview with 700 WLW. “There’s probably a dozen law enforcement agencies, if not more involved in this — it’s growing, it’s spreading, there are other jurisdictions now involved in this,” Sanders added.

700 WLW radio host Willie Cunningham brought up the death threats towards the Covington teens made by bluecheck verified accounts on Twitter and asked Mr. Sanders about Kentucky law.

Hollywood producer Jack Morrissey said the ‘MAGA hat kids should go into a woodchipper’ and LA DJ Michael Buchanan AKA ‘House Shoes’ called for Covington HS to be burned down with the teens locked inside.

“What is the Kentucky law about making threats to Covington Catholic specifically? Is there a law against it?” Willie asked Rob Sanders.

“There is. It’s called ‘terroristic threatening’ in Kentucky and it is a felony offense punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison to make a threat of violence to an educational institution, so everyone who makes a specific threat.”

Mr. Sanders made sure to clarify that saying “nasty things” about the Covington kids is not the same thing as making an “actual threat of violence” against Cov Cath or any other school in Kentucky that’s punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison. The punishment can go up to 5 to 10 years if they talk about using a weapon of mass destruction.

Mr. Sanders reminded listeners to the radio show that it’s not going to be an immediate process because these investigations take time. “You have to prove who’s behind the Twitter handle,” Sanders explained.

“It’s not an immediate process, but it is a process that will get done,” Sanders said, adding, “It will not surprise me to see charges against multiple people before this is all over.”

Rob Sanders made it clear in a Sunday night tweet that he would not tolerate any threats against Covington Catholic High School or any educational institution for that matter, and fired a warning shot to people threatening acts of violence.

The Gateway Pundit reached out to Rob Sanders via email to make him aware of specific threats to Covington Catholic High School that were posted to Twitter by Michael Buchanan, AKA ‘House Shoes.’

This reporter informed Mr. Sanders that the Los Angeles Police Department was made aware of Mr. Buchanan’s threats to burn down Cov Cath with the children locked inside.

Mr. Sanders promptly responded by asking for contact information from anyone at the LAPD involved in the investigation, however; he did not provide further comment.

Thank you Rob Sanders for your swift action, commitment to the rule of law and for protecting the children at Covington Catholic High School.

Just because Twitter says these vile leftists threatening to burn children alive ‘didn’t violate rules’ doesn’t mean they are immune from the real law of the land. Take that, Twitter.

Breaking: Syrian military on high alert as Israeli warplanes return to border

BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:00 A.M.) – The Syrian military has been placed on high alert this evening after Israeli warplanes were spotted along the Lebanon-Syria border.

According to a military source in Damascus, Israeli warplanes were once again spotted along the Lebanon-Syria border at night, prompting the Syrian military to prepare their air defenses for a possible breach.

The Israeli warplanes reportedly entered Lebanon from the Nabatieh Governorate before making their way to the Jabal Sheikh (Mount Hermon) region along the Syrian border.

The source added that the Syrian military believes the Israeli Air Force is attempting to provoke them into responding to their close border flights.

In the past, the Israeli Air Force has taken this flight path to bomb targets inside of Damascus and its countryside.

All traffic at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey was temporarily halted after drones were seen flying over the nearby Teterboro Airport, disrupting air travel in the New York City area.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ordered a ground stop at Newark on Tuesday evening, after two drones were seen flying at 3,500 feet (1 km) over Teterboro, a nearby airport that serves private and corporate flights.

Al-Jaafari: Return of Golan to Syria sovereignty is firm, non-negotiable right

New York, SANA-Syria’s permanent representative to the UN, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari said on Tuesday that the Israeli enemy aggressions on Syria would have never been carried out without the unlimited support provided by UN permanent member states to this outlaw entity.

Al-Jaafari, during a UN Security Council session on the situation in the Middle East, added that France, Britain and the US continuation to play the role of perjure and their stance that prevents Security Council from assuming its responsibilities will not affect Syria’s right to defend itself and work to restore the occupied Syrian Golan.

He went on to say that if UN Security Council didn’t adopt measures to halt the Israeli repeated aggressions on the Syrian lands, Syria would practice its legitimate right of self-defense and respond to the Israeli aggression on Damascus International Airport in the same way on “Tel Aviv Airport.”

“Isn’t time now for the UN Security council to stop the Israeli repeated aggressions on the Syrian Arab republic territories,” al-Jaafari wondered.

He affirmed that the restoration of the Syrian Golan is a firm right for Syria which can’t be negotiable or abolished through prescription.

The Syrian diplomat added that the Israeli occupation full withdrawal from Golan into the line of June 4th, 1967 is an issue that should be applied based on the international law principles and legitimacy resolutions including Security Council relevant resolutions No. 242, 338 and 497.

Al-Jaafari went on to say that the Israeli occupation attempts to change the status in Golan are doomed to failure and they will not affect any form of legal or sovereign right to Syria on it.

He was astonished at the report of UN envoy to the region Nickolay Mladenov who ignored the Israeli occupation daily crimes and repressive practices against citizens of the occupied Syrian Golan.

On the Palestinian cause, al-Jaafari stressed that the continuation of occupation, settlement and the Israeli assassination of the Palestinian cause was the main reason behind the instability and lack of prosperity in the region.

Al-Jaafari reiterated Syria’s firm stance in supporting the Palestinian people’s right to determine their destiny and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital with guaranteeing the refugees’ right to return according to resolution No.194 for 1948.

He called on the states that support the Israeli occupation to reconsider their policies and stances and work to return the legitimate rights to their owners.

“We tell those who try to re-draw the maps of the region that Syria, which has confronted the international unprecedented terrorist war, will confront those miserable schemes and drop them as many other plots before,” al-Jaafari said.

Maduro orders ‘total revision’ of Venezuela-US diplomatic ties after Pence calls for regime change

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has ordered a revision of diplomatic relations with the US after the White House has openly urged the opposition to unite and overthrow the “dictator with no legitimate claim to power.”

Ahead of the mass street protests against Maduro on Wednesday, called by the opposition-led National Assembly, US Vice President Mike Pence released a video message reaffirming unwavering support for a regime change in Venezuela. Denouncing Maduro as “a dictator with no legitimate claim to power” who has “never won the presidency in a free and fair election,” Pence declared that time has come for the Venezuelan people to take the matters into their own hands, in a speech peppered with Spanish phrases.

“The United States supports the courageous decision by Juan Guaidó, the president of National Assembly, to assert that body’s constitutional powers, declare Maduro a usurper and call for the establishment of a transitional government,” Pence said.

Slamming the speech as shameless US meddling in his country’s internal affairs, Maduro in response promised his supporters to announce specific measures against Washington in the coming hours.

“Enough of aggressions and conspiracies, enough is enough!” said Maduro, rejecting the “imperialist interventionism” and open calls for coup d'état that he called unprecedented in the 200-year history of US-Venezuela relations.

“Nobody in Latin America believes seriously that the US government is interested in democracy and freedom…because they have supported all the dictatorships that we had suffered in Latin America for decades,” Atilio Borón, professor of political science in the University of Buenos Aires, told RT.

They are creating a humanitarian crisis and then they want to appear as the ones who can solve all the problems.

“This is a desperate move, because they cannot defeat Maduro at the ballot box and they are promoting a sort of public insurrection which may backfire,” Boron added. “If they want to help, the first thing they should do is stop blocking the foreign relations with Venezuela and other countries which are ready to sell their goods to Venezuela.”

US Service Member Killed in Action in Afghanistan

A U.S. service member has been killed in action in Afghanistan, the second American to die while supporting operations in the country this month.

Officials with Operation Resolute Support announced Tuesday that the death of the service member, whose service branch was not identified, is under investigation.

It's not clear where the service member was killed. Defense Department policy is not to release the names of those who died supporting combat operations until 24 hours after next-of-kin is notified.

This most recent death comes five days after Army Sgt. Sgt. Cameron Meddock, of the 75th Ranger Regiment, died from combat wounds at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany on Jan. 17. Meddock was shot during combat operations in Badghis province, Afghanistan, on Jan. 13.

Earlier this month, Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jonathan R. Farmer and Navy Chief Cryptologic Technician (Interpretive) Shannon M. Kent were killed, along with an American DoD contractor and civilian worker, in a bombing in the northern Syrian town of Manbij. Three other American troops were wounded in the bombing.
