In sworn testimony to RCF investigators, one of the teen prostitutes said Ryan once heard his confession and blessed him, then told him, “go and sin no more.” Then the bishop winked at the teen and said, “See you later.”

Father Hardon carried the report to Rome and presented it to Pope St. John Paul II, vouching for RCF and the accuracy of the document. Nothing was done with the explosive information. Hardon told RCF officials that at least a dozen American bishops supported Ryan in his quest to hold onto his bishopric in Springfield, according to RCF president and founder Stephen G. Brady. One of them was the late Joseph Cardinal Bernardin, then archbishop of Chicago, Brady said. When the group approached Bernardin for help in removing Ryan, he refused, Brady said. Ryan abruptly retired in October 1999, shortly before a lawsuit was filed accusing him of covering up the sexual abuse of a child by another Illinois priest.

Their reaction - Are you seriously this stupid? Of course there are other versions of you.

Can I meet them I asked?

Their response - We can arrange that.

This time they were solemn. They felt…wary is not quite the word. Resigned?

It seemed as if granting my request was part of their morals. The law of free will.

But there was a certain feel to the response, like what I was requesting was dangerous.

Like I was young and naive.

They seemed to sigh in a way.

I didn't hear it, I felt it.

And that's when I met 7 other versions of myself.

Face-to-Face with 7 other versions of me from different universes in a round-table discussion.

But that's a story for a different day.

So yes - that fractal is very special.

yes, because if you consider other universes an array that fans out from here:

1. First you encounter universes where you ate something else for breakfast for example

2. Universe where an important event in your life didn't happen or happened differently

3. Universe where you are quite different (change made earlier on in your life, butterfly effect)

4. Eventually we get far enough away where we can consider the YOU that is actually ME (What if you had been born to MY parents for example).

So if you fan out enough, you are me and I am you and we are we
