This is a good point, IMO.
Standards business practice in a company takeover to leave the old employees in place to see who was causing the problems that led to the buyout. Then hatchet men like Scaramucci are called in to clean them out. Your theory would fit in nicely with Trump's business world experience.
So who's the next hatchet man?
