"What sort of combination of hypocrite and paradox is John Kerry?" ask the authors in this heated critique of the Democratic presidential candidate’s Vietnam–era military service and antiwar activism. O’Neill, a lawyer and swift boat veteran, and Corsi, an expert on Vietnam antiwar movements, argue that Kerry misrepresented his wartime exploits and is therefore incompetent to serve as commander in chief. Buttressed by interviews with Navy veterans who patrolled Vietnam’s waters, some along with Kerry, the book claims he exaggerated minor injuries, self-inflicted others, wrote fictitious diary entries and filed "phony" reports of his heroism under fire—all in a calculated quest to secure career-enhancing combat medals. They also maintain that Kerry, whom they call a "moral coward," committed atrocities that alarmed his peers and superior officers during his four-month tour of duty

Prof goes after Covington kid and 'smiling face of Whiteness'

An Ivy League professor bashed "the smiling face of Whiteness" in response to the recent controversy involving an interaction between a Native American man and a Catholic teenage supporter of President Donald Trump.

“Whiteness endlessly forgives its own transgressions,” University of Pennsylvania associate professor Ebony Elizabeth Thomaswrote on Sunday about the confrontation between Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann and Native American Nathan Phillips. “It rarely, if ever, gives those of us it harms and maims and kills time to process our motions [sic].”

According to Thomas, the “smiling face of Whiteness” is one that “always hides a knife behind its back.”

Thomas teaches in UPenn’s Graduate School of Education.

“‘You forgive us, right? You have to forgive us! Understanding will make it better! Reconciliation! Diversity! Inclusion!’” she continued, conveying what she suggests to be the attitude of most white people.

According to Thomas, the “smiling face of Whiteness” is one that “always hides a knife behind its back.”

“That knife says this: ‘You must forgive us. You must educate us. Or else.’”

“Usually, that ‘or else’ happens anyway,” the professor adds. “But it will assuredly happen unless you kiss Whiteness' ring.”

Thomas goes on to claim that she knows “all about Whiteness’ outrageous demands.” She reiterates that “whiteness endlessly forgives its own transgressions.”

Experts fear Confucius Institutes serve Chinese interests…but some colleges are keeping them

University and intelligence experts around the United States are becoming concerned over Confucius Institutes operating within American institutions, but under control of the Chinese government.

In a February 2018 Senate Intelligence Committee hearing, FBI Director Christopher Wray said that China is exploiting the United States’ academic environment, using it for non-American interests, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education.

“I would expect the U.S. government to be vigilant if they expect any intel gathering"

“The level of naïveté on the part of the academic sector about this creates its own issues,” Wray said during the hearing. “They’re exploiting the very open research and development environment that we have, which we all revere. But they’re taking advantage of it.”

Robert Daley, director of the Kissinger Institute on China and the United States at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars told the Chronicle that U.S. officials are concerned that Chinese students and researchers are obtaining information that would help China and advance the country’s economic and national interests.

“They think, ‘Why should American universities be training China’s top minds in things like AI when they will then just compete with the U.S. globally?’” Daly said. “After all, during the Cold War, we weren’t training Soviet scientists in nuclear physics.”

Why Did the U.S. Government Purchase 30,000 Guillotines?

Published on April 29, 2017

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years." ~ Revelation 20:4

Federal judge backs firing squads, guillotine for executions

"A controversial federal judge thinks firing squads and guillotines should come back in style as the debate over executions in Arkansas rages on. Ninth Circuit Appeals Judge Alex Kozinski, in an interview with CBS News’ “60 Minutes” set to air Sunday, said conducting lethal injections is a sham that masks that fact that people are getting killed. …When interviewer Lesley Stahl mentions that Kozinski favors death by firing squad, the longtime justice quips: “Never fails.” Then she brings up his support of the guillotine — a late-18th century device that chops off the head. “Well, you know, it’s 100% effective,” Kozinski said of the device made famous for beheading aristocrats during the French Revolution. “And it leaves no doubt that what we are doing is a violent thing. If we as a society are willing to take away human life, we should be willing to watch it."

Iran plans to carry out new satellite launch desptite US warnings

Tehran is planning to carry out a new satellite launch in the near future, IRNA reported on Wednesday, citing Iranian Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Amir Hatami, just one week after the country failed to launch its Payam satellite into orbit.

Following a cabinet session, Hatami confirmed to reporters that the launch, which Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced last week, would take place soon, according to the IRNA news agency.

Hatami specified that the satellite would be launched by the Safir expendable launch vehicle, which is capable of putting satellites into 260-kilometer (16-mile) orbits.

The minister emphasized that Iran was constantly improving its capacities in satellite launches.

Earlier in January, Rouhani said that two domestically made satellites would be launched “in the coming days” despite the US claims that this would violate a UN Security Council resolution, which deals mostly with Tehran’s nuclear program.

I'm so old I remember when they built this and Big Blue fell on it and crushed a wall.. pissed me off when they made it a Baseball only stadium

Miller Park is getting a name change in the next couple years.

Forbes reported the following Wednesday morning about the name change for the home of the Milwaukee Brewers:

In all of sports, there may be no better pairing of team and corporate sponsor than in Milwaukee, where Major League Baseball’s Brewers, named in honor of the city’s beer-making history, play in Miller Park, named for the last of the mega-breweries that made the city famous.

That partnership, though, will soon come to an end as the Brewers announced Tuesday that American Family Insurance will replace Miller as the stadium’s naming rights sponsor in 2021

Senators Want Captured ISIS Fighters Sent to Guantanamo Bay Prison Camp

A leading group of Republican senators is petitioning the Trump administration to reopen the Guantanamo Bay prison camp to hundreds of foreign ISIS fighters captured on the battlefield, according to a copy of a letter sent Tuesday to the White House and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

As the Trump administration continues to take the fight to ISIS forces in Syria and elsewhere, Sens. Tom Cotton (R., Ark,), Ted Cruz (R., Texas), Marco Rubio (R., Fla.), and John Cornyn (R., Texas.) are petitioning the administration to use the prison camp established on the U.S. naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as a holding facility.

The timing of the letter coincides with the 10-year anniversary of the Obama administration's executive order to close Guantanamo Bay. President Donald Trump reversed this order and the prison remained open, but no new prisoners have been transferred to the facilities during his time in office.

With nearly 700 "battle-hardened terrorists in northeast Syria" currently being held by U.S. coalition partners with the Syrian Democratic Forces, the senators fear these captives could escape or be released from custody so they can again take up arms against U.S. forces and allies.

The Left’s Tactic: Attack Christians

2nd Lady, Karen Pence decided to take a parttime job teaching art at a DC Christian school. Out comes the left and in a bigger way. The hashtag du jour is #ExposeChristianSchools. Anyone paying attention?

Over the weekend, included in the whole matter was the fake media scandal of a Covington Catholic student allegedly confronting a Native American playing his drum. That is hardly what happened at all. But the media and some members of Congress ran with the false narrative. Sheesh.

Ah, but there is more to this attack on Christians and religious education. We had those like Congressman Ted Lieu slamming this privileged education. Then we also had Congressman John Yarmuth demanding that kids be banned from wearing MAGA hats, stating that they seem to be poisoning young minds.

But wait, let us go back a few months, shall we?

How about Senator(s) Mazie Hirono and Kamala Harris? Harris just announced her intention to run for president in 2020. Ahem…

Just a few months ago, Trump nominated Brian Buescher for a Federal court vacancy in Nebraska. During that confirmation hearing, both Senators attacked Mr. Buescher for his membership with the Knights of Columbus. In fact, Senator Hirono demanded that Buescher drop his membership in the Knights. Senator Harris made a big point that the Catholic organization was all male and the judge would need to recuse himself over any case involving abortion or touched legal matters dealing with challenging Roe v. Wade.

The Knights of Columbus is the single largest Catholic service organization in the country. Services to communities include being ushers during mass, charitable work and visiting those in prison. But hold on….let’s go back a little further shall we to Dianne Feinstein and her questions to Judge Amy Coney Barrett. Senator Feinstein doesn’t like Christians or Catholics either.

California Close to Mandating Ban of Paper Receipts

Once again the lunatic lawmakers in the formerly great state of California are about to do the dumbest thing imaginable, ban paper receipts.

What makes this especially dumb is the fact that even if all paper receipts were eliminated it would make almost zero impact on the environment, as Bloomberg reports:

A San Francisco lawmaker has introduced legislation to ban paper receipts unless a customer specifically asks for one. If adopted, proponents argue, the environmental and health benefits will be significant.

In reality, the “Skip the Slip” measure would have almost no impact on either.

Instead, like the plastic-straw ban that preceded it, and which it emulates, the receipt ban is simply another low-impact environmental campaign that asks little of Californians and will accomplish less.

Worse, it diverts attention and effort from bigger and far more pressing waste and recycling issues that are negatively impacting the state right now.

Fed Probing Deutsche Bank's Role In Largest-Ever Money Laundering Scandal

In a follow-up to a report late last year that the Department of Justice had expanded its probe into what could be the largest money laundering scandal in history - that is, the infamous Danske Bank money laundering scandal, which involved some $230 billion of suspicious money flowing into Western Europe from shadowy sources in the former Soviet Union - by looking into the role played by the various correspondent banks that cleared many of these transactions (a group that included DB, BofA and JPM), Bloomberg reported on Wednesday that the Federal Reserve is examining how DB moved billions of dollars on behalf of Danske's Estonian branch, the epicenter of the fraud.

Though this line of inquiry is said to be in its early stages, the implications are clear: US regulators are growing increasingly dissatisfied with correspondent banks and their deference on all KYC-related issues to the client banks whose transactions they are clearing.

FRANCE & GERMANY join forces to battle populism and the stunning rise of right wing anti-Muslim migration parties

The Times The two governments said the treaty would reinforce links between their countries in areas including economic and foreign policy, education, research and climate issues and bring together areas on either side of their borders.

It will undoubtedly reinforce battle lines between the German and French leaders and Europe’s right-wing populists — both inside and outside government — who are teaming up ahead of this May’s elections to the European parliament, which they intend to fight on the issue of immigration

Opposition to this Franco-German axis is an alliance between Italy’s Matteo Salvini (above Right) and Hungary’s Viktor Orban (above Left), with support from other anti-Muslim migration governments including those of Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, and Slovakia

That was basically one of the main reasons behind Roosevelt's New Deal they were in danger of losing it all… sound familiar

New Deal, the domestic program of the administration of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt between 1933 and 1939, which took action to bring about immediate economic relief as well as reforms in industry, agriculture, finance, waterpower, labour, and housing, vastly increasing the scope of the federal government’s activities.
