I feel like AOC will end up being a giant red pill dispenser.

Her reasons don't seem that bad, but her solutions are awful. As she becomes more educated on the issues and on the potential solutions, she could easily flip over time.

Many conservatives start out as young and naive just like AOC.

As long as THEY don't get to her, it is possible.

Take her 70% tax idea for an example….

Problem that we can all agree on:

the middle class is dwindling (or at least was before Trump) and the rich are becoming more rich as compared to the poor. To a point, some of Trump's campaign vernacular played to this issue; "The Elite doing everything to keep their power (aka money)"

AOC's dumb solution: add a 70% tax bracket to over 10 million income.

Real solution: Lower taxes across the board, but make all income taxed the same: stock profits, real estate profits, interest profits.

Why? Because the uber rich don't make most of their money from a salary.

Caveat: short term and long term stock gains taxed the same. Income is income.

Plus: You can write off business expenses and losses on transactions (stocks / real estate / gambling / etc)

It would be much easier to do taxes. Three boxes: money in (+), business expenses or losses (-), (=) final number to be taxed on.

I do think this is the most fair for all involved.

Sorry for the policyfag post, but felt the need to let it out.

>She was created BY THEM.

You may be right.

As I was writing:

I realized by taxing 70% over 10 million, you are preventing the next possible Billionaires from becoming billionaires…… exactly what the Elite want to do, protect their power.
