Article is over a year old but its nice to see the elites cry because Trump is winning and still winning and they are still crying

Trump Has Quietly Accomplished More Than It Appears

The chaos, legislative fumbling, and legal jeopardy should not obscure the ways that the administration is remaking federal policy in consequential ways.

Things are going considerably better for the shadow government. With the Trump administration’s chaos sucking up all the attention, it’s been able to move forward on a range of its priorities, which tend to be more focused on regulatory matters anyway. It is remaking the justice system, rewriting environmental rules, overhauling public-lands administration, and greenlighting major infrastructure projects. It is appointing figures who will guarantee the triumph of its ideological vision for decades to come.

But the large-scale disasters do keep attention focused away from what smaller agencies are doing, as Ben Carson acknowledged recently.

“Let me put it this way,” the secretary of housing and urban development told the Washington Examiner. “I'm glad that Trump is drawing all the fire so I can get stuff done.”

Brzezinski is the partner of David Rockefeller.

Together they created the TriLateral Commission in 1973.

Intellectual representative of 300 of the wealthiest people in the world.

Author. Strong influence on US policies, foreign and domestic.

He's like a bookend to Henry Kissinger, who is also a Tri-Lateralist.

Brzezinski was a rising advisor under Nixon.

Brzezinski served as National Security Advisor under Jimmy Carter.

Truthfully, Jimmy Carter was 'appointed' to serve under Rockefeller and Brzezinski.

(Note this: America is a capitalist country not a republic or democracy .. duh!

Money talks, not voting.)

The Bushes and Clintons are both TriLateralists.Tri-Laterals, and their older sister the Council on Foreign Relations, populate Democrat and Republican cabinets and high positions. Carter had almost 300 CFR members in his cabinet.

Political Ties To a Secretive Religious Group

“For more than 50 years, the National Prayer Breakfast has been a Washington institution. Every president has attended the breakfast since Eisenhower, elbow-to-elbow with Democrats and Republicans alike.” The event is sponsored by a secretive Capitol Hill group known as “The Fellowship,” (aka The Family) “For 15 years, Hillary Clinton has been part of [this] secretive religious group that seeks to bring Jesus back to Capitol Hill.” An exposé of the group 'The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power,' by Jeff Sharlet will be published in May. [NBC video].

“They are ‘the Family’—fundamentalism’s avant-garde, waging spiritual war in the halls of American power and around the globe. They consider themselves the ‘new chosen,’ congressmen, generals, and foreign dictators who meet in confidential ‘cells,’ to pray and plan for a ‘leadership led by God,’ to be won not by force but through ‘quiet diplomacy.’ Their base is a leafy estate overlooking the Potomac in Arlington, Virginia, and Jeff Sharlet is the only journalist to have written from inside its walls.

The Family is about the other half of American fundamentalist power—not its angry masses, but its sophisticated elites. Sharlet follows the story back to Abraham Vereide, an immigrant preacher who in 1935 organized a small group of businessmen sympathetic to European fascism, fusing the Far Right with his own polite but authoritarian faith. From that core, Vereide built an international network of fundamentalists who spoke the language of establishment power, a ‘family’ that thrives to this day. In public, they host prayer breakfasts; in private they preach a gospel of ‘biblical capitalism,’ military might, and American empire. Citing Hitler, Lenin, and Mao, Doug Coe, the Family’s current leader, declares, ‘We work with power where we can, build new power where we can’t.’

Sharlet’s discoveries dramatically challenge conventional wisdom about American fundamentalism, revealing its crucial role in the unraveling of the New Deal, the waging of the Cold War, and the no-holds-barred economics of globalization. The question Sharlet believes we must ask is not ‘What do fundamentalists want?’ but ‘What have they already done?’”

Rapid spread of African swine fever in Europe – several countries consider border wall to keep the disease at bay

As African swine fever spreads, European countries are afraid of the damage that could be caused to their farming sectors.

The deadly disease – which causes internal bleeding and hemorrhages in pigs – is moving quickly through Eastern Europe, typically through wild boar, which travel long distances and can infect domestic pigs being bred on commercial farms.

In response, countries like Germany, the EU’s largest pork producer, are stepping up efforts to protect their pig populations, some going so far as to consider building border walls to keep boars out.

At the same time Denmark has approved plans for a fence along its border with Germany to stop wild boar movements between the countries as a precaution.

So far outbreaks of African swine fever have been confirmed in nine EU countries, affecting Estonia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania the worst.

Outbreaks have also been confirmed in Russia, Ukraine and Moldova.

US House votes overwhelmingly to prohibit exit from NATO

The U.S. House of Representatives has overwhelmingly passed a bill affirming congressional support for NATO, amid renewed concerns over President Donald Trump’s commitment to the 29-member alliance.

The bipartisan NATO Support Act, which forbids the use of funds to withdraw from the alliance and states that it is U.S. policy to remain part of the alliance, passed by a 357-22 vote.

Beside asserting Congress’s control over the money, the bill reaffirms U.S. backing of NATO and its mutual defense clause.

It also voices support for Montenegro, its newest member, and for “robust” U.S. funding for the European Deterrence Initiative, and for the goal that each alliance member spend at least 2 percent of its gross domestic product on defense by 2024.
