Yep, he is definitely a red flag. He cannot go to that LGBT conference if the church has censured it. A lot of Catholics are unhappy with the priests that want to include LGBT and the other priest that supported Phillips has been a problem in that way for quite some time.
However, I still think the Catholic Church should not be put under the pressure it is right now. They are all over it for Kavanaugh, abortion, gay marriage, etc.
