Well, considering that most of the illegal immigrants are concentrated in the "sanctuary" cities/states, the overwhelming majority of the demand is coming from the liberal urban elite & bourgeoisie and those establishments/businesses that cater to those people.

Even though they will never admit it, those people do not want their gravy train ending and will go kicking & screaming to make sure that it doesn't, as their way of life is completely dependent upon illegal immigrants serving them.

As usual with those people, it's greedy selfish motivations that are guiding their self-righteous rhetoric.
