With one-off posts it often is. They have a crack in our armor to exploit in that blunt and direct communication is part of the chans. The difference is in whether there's an alignment with facts & reason, which is an actually selfless position (puts truth over expedience), or only insults for purposes of gaining personal advantage, which is selfish position, puts expedience over truth, i.e. pushes an agenda regardless who or what principles it tramples in the process. That's why studying the patterns is important, and I post benchmarks for discerning manipulation from time to time. It's not just here on the board we have to deal with it, this narcissistic style of headtripping has become rampant in our society.

Oh yeah, I see. Yeah bakers don't usually do that. I think the custom of linking to top of bread is so people will read the dough and notables and stuff before posting.
