re: IL SB0107 - CRIM CD-ASSAULT WEAPON BAN

Senator Schimpf,

I'll get straight to the point on this matter. The state of Illinois has no grounds, legal or otherwise, to infringe on the Second Amendment rights of its citizens and I don't care what anyone in Chicago or Springfield has to say on the matter.

An assault weapons ban has absolutely NOTHING to do with solving Chicago's crime problem, or Detroit’s, or Baltimore’s, or anyone else’s. Illegally obtained handguns are the weapon used in the overwhelming majority of gun crimes committed and still, those weapons are not the issue. Populous subjugation through decades-long implementation of liberal policies designed to create & sustain an environment that inevitably results in a powder keg of unmitigated rage, murder & a river of abused, drug-addled corpses… this is the issue. The people committing these crimes, while certainly guilty, never had a chance. They are but a symptom of a sickness.

And liberals want to sell us the solution? Oh, sweet Hegelian Dialectic!

Those perpetrating this rapidly growing genocide are guilty of intergenerational crimes against humanity. Their treachery is being executed with purpose of intent & carried out with malice across all spectrums of our Republic.

Henry David Thoreau stated: "There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root." I prefer to hack at the root. However, I fear our tree may be so rotten it might be shorter work to set her ablaze & start anew with the morning.

So why an assault weapons ban? Ask the English, French, Venezuelans & billions more who, at this very moment, have no physical recourse against the tyranny they are subject to. I insist that had the people of these nations the right to arm themselves, they would never have slipped into the precarious position they find themselves at present.

For those that say those things could never happen here, I say: they are, and IL SB0107 is a testimony to the usurpations that result in the slow slide toward that abyss of tyranny.

I will not stand for it.

In the event of the passage of this bill into law, I will find gainful employment in a state whose policies are in line my family’s conservative values, sell my house and move from Illinois, never to return. I will be taking a six-figure salary with me along with the taxes, economic participation & charitable & political contributions that go with it.

I'll be carrying my guns when I go.

I didn’t vote for the crooks that created this mess and I didn’t contribute one bit to that decay on the lake. I’ll be damned if I’ll be enslaved by it. I am not a native of Illinois. I’ve only resided here for a few years and I have no intention of riding this sinking ship in its death race to beat California to the bottom of the communist sea.

Recent reporting would indicate this state cannot sustain the current rate of middle class net loss, amongst the myriad of other problems it has. Should I stay, or should I go?

I trust that, as the conservative representative that I voted for, you will do your part to ensure that this bill fails. Maybe you can help stay the last straw that will almost certainly drive me home to Tennessee.

I appreciate your due consideration in this matter.

Sincerely,

Anonymous
