Adam and Eve were decieved in the garden but it was not by the light bringer we call Lucifer. Lucifer told them that all that surrounded them was theirs to explore and experience and to not believe the deciever telling them otherwise.
They ate of the fruit and apologized profusely to the one that shamed them into compliance. This is what brought on the fall of man. Complying to a lie is in accordance to free will and their was nothing else Lucifer could do at that point.
God works in the realm of free will and Man Chose to believe the lie for thousands of years.
