Julia Gillard's Father's Death & Links to University of Adelaide

Apec meeting Sept. 2012 in Russia. JG (pm) did not attend because her father died (John). Unknown cause/illness. HC was at Apec instead of Obama.

John donates his body to science, no formal funeral. JG asks for donations to be sent to Doctor's Without Borders (Dad's choice…)

Body assumingly donated to University of Adelaide (The state where John died). This is where full body donations go (Universities). Uni's are able to transfer bodies around afterwards. They use them for medical student training.

Sept. 10, 2012 (Monday) she flew back to Aus and took the rest of the week off to mourn the loss.

2013 JG accepts honorary professor (politics) at Uni Adelaide

2017 JG elected as next Vice Chancellor for Uni Adelaide

Since 2013 has done numerous speechs at Uni Adeliade
