FF incoming re: airport safety/security? I think POTUS knows he will be blamed for any disaster that occurred during the shutdown. He needs to RESET the narrative. Let Pelosi be responsible if it shuts down again. That way, POTUS is not the scapegoat for some calamity that occurs stateside. I believe he caved to protect himself, with the idea of resetting the stage in February. Not a great situation for anyone, but POTUS did this to himself by saying HE would be responsible for the shutdown - big tactical error.
