Fully vaccinated 22-year-old was the patient zero in New York measles outbreak.

The reason this struck my interest is because a year ago and some change (2017), my daughter contracted Varicella who is fully vaccinated. The doctor told me there was a huge outbreak in the elementary school in kids her age. She was 9 and is homeschooled. The thing is, I searched CDC for a look at outbreaks occurring. The CDC stated that outbreaks to the Varicella did not need to be reported. HOWEVER…now the CDC requires it quarterly. They also report majority of cases are in unvaccinated children.

.

According to CDC, cases of measles in vaccinated people started being reported in 2017. Not sure what to make of this but thought I would share.

I considered more of the dud option at the time since they were around the same time for Varicella. She was born in a different town but distribution may not make adifference from manufacture. Struck me as odd with th emeasles outbreak, C. Clinton pushing mmr (even though vaccinated people are getting it), and the over emphasis of majority of unvaccinated kids contracting.
