Melania Trump paid damages by British newspaper0:28

The Daily Telegraph has apologised and paid 'substantial damages' to Melania Trump after publishing an article containing false statements. On Saturday, the paper apologised 'unreservedly' for the content of a cover story published on 19 January in its weekly magazine supplement. 'As a mark of our regret we have agreed to pay Mrs Trump substantial damages as well as her legal costs,' The Daily Telegraph said. It said it falsely characterised Mrs Trump's father's personality and that he 'was not a fearsome presence and did not control the family'. The paper also retracted the claim that the 48-year-old's modelling career was unsuccessful before she met Donald Trump.
