They would have to actually create an "assault weapon" or "assault rifle" classification, then say "unless the firearm is listed under subsection whatever, then…." if they wanna preserve bolt rifles and shotguns for 18-20. So that blows open the door for more shit because they've now created an "assault rifle" classification.

70% of the American population has a diagnosable mental illness as per the DSM-V. Now they can give nonspecific diagnosis if they don't have enough ammo to give a specific diagnosis. How in the hell is that…if the shrink doesn't have enough to give a specific diagnosis, then there is NO diagnosis. It isn't non-specific. It's non-existent, suspected, cannot be diagnosed (obviously).

If you oppose authority, you are mentally ill. One incident in one month blah blah blah. Who in the hell makes up this nonsense and what evidence is used to say "well if this person does this five times in three months, then he/she has this mental illness." It's fucking absurd. Example, my dad dies THEN my ex (who I planned on marrying) breaks up with me. I'm grieving two losses. I develop an adjustment disorder, not depression, not whatever. What do I end up with? Bipolar disorder. No, I'm fucking grieving so I gotta go get multiple professionals to call this shrink a quack. Diagnosis purged from my chart (pfft yeah).

They're all fucking witch doctors to me. And if you've ever seen one outside of the office, they're fucking crazy. So what if they have an MD/DO? Big fucking whoop.

Chiropractors get far more respect from me than any psychiatrist. I had some goddamn psychologist during that period with a Psy.D who was full of himself tell me that I'm "of average intelligence" even though I hold two bachelor's and a master's (formal IQ test administered when I was in high school came back 126, so 126=100 I guess?). Then he takes me off Lexapro because he "doesn't like it" and puts me on that God awful shit known as Paxil. Wanted to die when I was detoxing from that shit. I will NEVER touch a goddamn antidepressant again for the rest of my natural life.

It's just like the damn analog compound law. They ban one substance and Chinese assholes pluck one element off the molecule, evade the ban. That's what they're doing with bath salts and what have you.

The problem is you can't fuck over 99.9% of people for the sake of helping the other 0.1%. How many lawful AR owners are there? Millions. How many use them to commit murder? Well, based on FBI stats, fewer than 300 for rifles altogether. That's not considering bolt rifles.

But your point about parents not wanting kid to have it. I agree to a certain extent. What's that apprehension based on? Emotion or fact? If it's emotion, no, bleh kid needs to move out. If it's based on behavior, like with Cruz, then yeah I'm fine with seizing that son of a bitch's guns or barring him from purchasing and owning. The problem is how in God's name does the law handle something like that? Who knows. I sure as hell don't.
