ANC deputy secretary Jessie Duarte denied knowledge of the payment of millions of rands to the ANC's top six, which former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi testified about at the state capture commission of inquiry.

Continuing his explosive testimony before the commission on Thursday, Agrizzi said he was aware that between R8m and R12m was given to the ANC's top six.

The ANC indicated that it intended to apply to the commission to cross-examine Agrizzi.

Campaigning in the Western Cape on Friday, Duarte, who has been a member of the top six since 2012, said she was not aware of such payments.

Looks like Cyril wants to ride on DJT's successes… Until there are clear and just consequences for corruption and the blatant discrimination and hostility against non-black ethnic groups have ceased, the concept of Making SA Great Again will remain a pipe dream.

Other interesting points:

• If President Cyril Ramaphosa had his way, he would tie young white South Africans to trees. This was his tongue-in-cheek comment as he urged young white South Africans to not leave the country. He said he wants the South Africans in the diaspora to come back home and contribute to growing South Africa.

• Ramaphosa, who mentioned more than once that he was a farmer himself, was well received.

• BeyersTruter said he believed the lord anointed kings and presidents, and he believed God anointed Ramaphosa.

I was going to respond to an earlier post re assassins in SA as a result of the latest assassination in Bryanston. However, it turns out this story leads to a massive link between the South African nightclub underworld, the South African State Security Agency (SSA), SARS and Serbia.

PART ONE:

"A Serbian man who survived an attempted hit in Bedfordview two years ago, was the victim of a shooting at a Bryanston complex on Tuesday afternoon"

Fifty-nine-year-old Ivan Djordjevic was driving a bullet proof car. He survived an attempt to kill him 2 years ago. He's from Serbia and in 2017, following the initial attempted assassination, police found a large amount of cash and laptops in (his) vehicle."

He was a friend of Dobrosov Gavric, who is currently in jail in South Africa. Gavric was driving underworld security boss Cyril Beeka when Beeka was shot dead in Cape Town in 2011. Gavric, also known as the 'Arkan Slayer', is wanted in Serbia in connection with the assassination of warlord Zeljko Raznatovic, better known as Arkan, in 2000. Gavric arrived in South Africa in 2007 under the name Sasa Kovacevic and his true identity was only revealed after Beeka's murder

Another Gavric associate, Milan Djuricic, who was also believed to be wanted in connection with Arkan’s murder, was gunned down in Strijdom Park in Johannesburg in April last year.

There have been at least six assassinations or attempted assassinations targeting Serbians in Johannesburg in the last two years.

Last month, 51-year-old Jugoslav Smiljkic was shot dead in broad daylight while standing next to his motorcycle in Allen's Nek in Roodepoort. Smiljkic also had links to Gavric and his associates."

Who are these people? Who drives around with large amounts of cash and multiple laptops in a bulletproof car? Names to dig on:

• Ivan Djordjevic (murdered April 2019)

• Darko Kulic (murdered 2018)

• Ivan Djordjevic was friends with Dobrosov Gavric (currently incarcerated in SA; was the driver of Cyril Beeka when he was killed in 2011; currently wanted in Serbia for the assassination of warlord Zeljko Raznatovic in 2000)

• Cyril Beeka (underground security boss, killed in Cape Town 2011); Dobrosov Gavric was his driver when he was killed

• Milan Djuricic (shot and killed in Strydompark on 25 April 2018; supposedly an Intelligence Operative and shot dead "just 11 days before South African state security contract agent (SSA) George Darmanovic was shot dead in Belgrade, Serbia, on May 6."; He was an associate of/friends with Dobrosov Gavric. Also very notable is that at the time of his assassination, he was investigating controversial businessman Mark Lifman, an associate of Jerome "Donkie" Booysen

• George Darmanovic (former SA state security contract agent in Serbia; shot dead on 6 May 2018). At the time of his assassination he was said to have been investigating Lifman, and made claims to amaBhungane that Lifman was "being protected from the highest levels of the police, the SSA and SARS"

• Jugoslav Smiljkic (shot dead March 2019 in Roodepoort; He also had links to Gavric and his associates)

This is what REALLY caught my attention:

There have been AT LEAST six assassinations or attempted assassinations targeting Serbians in Johannesburg in the last two years. And, after Djuricic's murder in March 2018: "The murder of a man in Johannesburg about two weeks ago, said to have been involved in the killing one of Serbia's most feared warlords and who has been on the run for years, has EXPOSED AN INTRICATE WEB OF LINKS BETWEEN THE SOUTH AFRICAN UNDERWORLD, STATE INTELLIGENCE AND HIGH-PROFILE CRIMINALS"

PART TWO:

So, Gavric is incarcerated in South Africa. Serbia wants him back, but he applied for refugee status in South Africa. In 2018 the Concourt ruled that he was NOT entitled for refugee status as he had been found guilty in Serbia for a "serious crime" and that he was therefore to be extradited. It doesn't look like he's left South Africa yet.

VERY INTERESTING: Gavric's legal representative was Peter Mihalik - the man who was shot and killed in his car in front of the Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard school in Green Point on 30 October 2018. The initial story was that he was representing some factions within the taxi industry and there was reference to the various factions within the nightclub world, but it seems very likely there's another link here.

According to the Daily Maverick: "This swirling hall of mirrors is a favourite hunting ground not only for organised crime, but also for the intelligence services. And sometimes they are indistinguishable."
