I don't think the shills are here to get us to believe Q isn't real. They will run with that every now and then, sure - but the "real" purpose of shills is to try and pull people into groups of thought and belief.
This is how you infiltrate and destroy a group. You get who you can to believe X, then get another group to believe Y, then Z… Etc. The more you can pull people into groups, the more you can later try and cast dispersions between them. They have tried to do this with ethnic groups, a bit. They've tried to get people to argue about who is and isn't a shill, or a 'real autist.'
And part of the reality is, too, that our own perceptions of friend/foe can turn us into a shill for a time. It's not the end of the world. It's why we are anon. We can be fools or shills one bread, then be star contributors in another.
Some of the shills may even be our own people who know we won't be broken so easily, and instead seek to beat us into shape. Or … Maybe it is our enemy earnestly trying, and we just laugh.
Either way, with every post made to the board, we can choose to learn from it, scroll by it, or reee at it. Some rees just happen to be better/more useful than others.
