Americans aren't the only ones who use opium/herione. If you were an American poppy farmer/distributor working out of Afghanistan, why go through the trouble/responsibility/cost and risk of shipping it overseas and sharing profit with gangsters? Wouldn't it be easier to make the gangsters come and get it? The stuff the gangsters didn't purchase could be dealt to the chinks or other local users right? Employ responsible "private" contractors to transfer cash back to U.S. banks or trade it for other local currency depending on value. Having Mexican gangsters as business partners would be too obvious wouldn't it?

I still wonder if she's being kept alive against her and/or her families wishes. Only because she's Jewish, I wonder if all the drugs and life support devices are, for lack of a better term… "kosher." If she's being kept alive against her wishes that's way more of a bigger question in my mind than if she's able to serve.
