Consider the FBI’s multilayered attack on Trump compared to its dramatically different treatment of Feinstein after the bureau concluded that her driver and San Francisco office staffer of 20 years had been spying for the Chinese government.

The spying involving Feinstein wasn’t reported by any news media organizations for five years –which meant the FBI didn’t feel the need to leak it. Even when this security breach was reported, it was only mentioned in passing by Politico Magazine in a story published last July 27 about extensive Chinese-espionage in Silicon Valley.

The Politico Magazine story, by Zach Dorfman said: “Former intelligence officials told me that Chinese intelligence once recruited a staff member at a California office of U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, and the source reported back to China about local politics.”

Once the story broke, the San Francisco Chronicle picked it up as a local story, but it was ignored by the almost all the rest of the establishment media.

According to the Chronicle story by Phil Matier, published Aug. 1: “A local source who knew about the incident confirmed to us that the FBI showed up at Feinstein’s office in Washington, D.C., about five years ago to alert the then-chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee that her driver was being investigated for possible Chinese spying. “

The Chronicle story added, referring to the accused spy: “‘They interviewed him, and Dianne forced him to retire, and that was the end of it,’ says our source.”

A New York Post op-ed published Aug. 8 on the incident was headlined: “Diane Feinstein was an easy mark for China’s spy.”

Post columnist Paul Sperry wrote: “A Chinese-American who doubled as both an office staffer and Feinstein’s personal driver, the agent reportedly was handled by officials based out of the People’s Republic of China’s consulate in San Francisco, which Feinstein helped set up when she was mayor of that city. He even attended consulate functions for the senator.”

The New York Post op-ed continued: “Feinstein says she took the staffer off her payroll ‘immediately’ after the FBI informed her five years ago that her office had been infiltrated by Chinese intelligence, and agents had identified the mole in a briefing. In a statement, the Democratic senator insisted he had ‘no access to sensitive information’ and that he was never charged with espionage.”

Presumably, American taxpayers are required to pay for the Chinese spy’s retirement – for which the Chinese government is undoubtedly grateful.

Despite all this, there was no investigation into Feinstein colluding with China at all – even though she is widely regarded as a “China dove” in the Senate and even though her husband made millions of dollars in Chinese business dealings while she has served as a top Democrat on Senate committees dealing with intelligence, energy and foreign affairs.
