from earlier bred today - in notables…

"Oil from this hemisphere is generally considered "sour" crude. It's got a lot of sulfur and other shit in it, and requires substantial processing to be useful.

Oil from the Arabian Peninsula is considered "light sweet crude". It comes out of the ground not looking much different from motor oil.

Shit that comes of the ground in Texas, for instance, looks like the proverbial "black gold"- it's almost like tar."

This is horseshit. Most of what we are now producing in Texas is super-light crude, and has to be blended with heavy crude to even run through the current refinery setups we have. Shale oil is NOT tar. If you want tar, examine what the Keystone pipeline is for - so we have something heavy to blend with, we are trying to get tar sands oil out of Canada.

Saudi Arabia has both light sweet and tar and in between - depends on the field.

In fact, every oilfield is different. EPA even uses those differences to track spills - like a chemical signature.

Most oil is NOT sour - smfh…

Too bad people are so gullible about oil and drilling - or this shitpile post would never have been a notable.

Oilanon in Texas actually drilling…
