PLANEFAGS - re Team17 and Team16 KC-10 Extender flights off East Coast last night….Navy Times confirms that CVN-72 went to sea yesterday for COMPTUEX (composite training, meaning they are practicing with the Air Wing which will deploy with them). First thing an Air Wing will practice is day and night carrier landings to get qualified. Need lots of gas aloft for that. Explains their activities offshore last night.
