Um, so this is concerning. Not a concernfag, but this does concern me.

Having IP addresses on hand is a good idea just in general. Not just for this specifically but in case there is any number of problems that may cripple the internet, knowing the exact real address would increase your chances of connecting. Although to be fair in most situations you might need to use IP addresses, you'll have other issues that'll take priority. Add in a few you don't use often but could benefit you. Things like the National Weather Service or direct feed to your local Seismograph through USGS' ANSS network are a couple examples.

Lots of sites won't let you connect directly from the IP address, including this one. Keep these two DNS sevices on backup

Google, 8.8.8.8, alt 8.8.4.4 & Cloudflare, 1.1.1.1, alt 1.0.0.1

Unlikely that both will fail.

Don't know how to find an IP address? Use this. https://www.site24x7.com/find-ip-address-of-web-site.html

Thanks, anon. I read through the post on the GLP site and their comments didn't make me feel much better. Hoping this is just a little improvement thing.. and not a massive slowdown/shutdown event
