Ala: Washington double standard policy encourages Israel entity to reject joining NPT

Syria’s permanent representative to the UN in Geneva Houssam El-Din Ala affirmed on Tuesday that the US and its allies’ continuation of escaping from carrying out their obligations regarding the establishment of a zone free from the nuclear weapons in the Middle East encourages the Israeli entity to go ahead in its rejection of joining The Treaty on the Non–Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

“The arrogance of power used by the US and its allies in our region has caused human catastrophes which are still making people pay a precious price until now and the US encouragement to its ally, Israel, to go ahead in its hostile method and aggressions represent a pattern of the irresponsible polices which pose threat to the stability in the Middle East and the international peace,” Ala said.

Turkish Defense Minister Says His Country Is Poised To Conduct New Operation In Syria

On January 29, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar stressed that his country has finished all preparations for carrying out a new trans-border operation in Syria, Haberturk channel reported.

On January 29, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) conducted a new round of artillery strikes on militant positions in the Idlib de-escalation zone, targeting the areas of Tamanah, Tal Teri, Tal Suayk, Suayk, Morek and Tal Huwayr.

According to pro-government sources, these strikes were carried out in response to fresh violations of the ceasefire regime by militants that attacked SAA positions in Maan and Atshan.

Nevertheless, it was so convincing that the lady who sent it to me believed it was an authentic message from a member of the Illuminati.

In 2007, when making a speech during his bid for the presidency of the United States, the late Senator John McCain spoke about Iran’s supposed nuclear weapons’ programme and when questioned as to whether there might be U.S. reaction to such allegations responded by singing:

This jovial retort about killing people by bombing them was not surprising to those who remembered that during the U.S. war on Vietnam McCain was shot down on a mission to bomb a power generation plant in Hanoi, the capital of North Vietnam, in the course of the entrancingly-named Operation Rolling Thunder. If he hadn’t been shot down before he released his bombs there would almost certainly have been civilian casualties and deaths. Power stations in cities are not manned by soldiers, after all, and around the Hanoi plant, there were houses that would doubtless be struck by errant bombs.

But who cares about civilians who are killed or maimed in bombing or rocket attacks?

In Syria, for example, in October 2018 “the U.S.-led coalition was responsible for 46% of civilian casualties from all explosive weapon use in Syria.” And in November, Reuters reported that “At least 30 Afghan civilians were killed in US air strikes in the Afghan province of Helmand, officials and residents of the area said on Wednesday, the latest casualties from a surge in air operations aimed at driving the Taliban into talks.”

House Democrats to Strike ‘So Help Me God’ from Oath

A draft of a new committee rules package expected to be approved this week would strike the phrase, “So help me God,” from the oath witnesses take when they testify before the House Committee on Natural Resources.

Fox News says it received an exclusive copy of the committee’s draft that places the phrase in red brackets, a sign the words are slated to be eliminated.

If the phrase is cut, the House Committee on Natural Resources would ask witnesses to state only: “Do you solemnly swear or affirm, under penalty of law, that the testimony that you are about to give is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?”

The full committee will vote on the elimination of “So help me God” this week, and the rule would take effect immediately, says the report.

Reacting to the news of the removal of the reference to God, House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney of Wyoming said, “It is incredible, but not surprising, that the Democrats would try to remove God from committee proceedings in one of their first acts in the majority.”

“They really have become the party of Karl Marx,” she added.

The committee, which is chaired by Arizona Democrat Rep. Raúl Grijalva, oversees national parks, wildlife, and energy.

As Fox News reports, in 2012, a controversy exploded at the Democratic National Convention over a move to restore a reference to God and recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Republicans had criticized the omission of the references, but Democrats were at odds over the changes.

According to the report, a senior Obama campaign official said former President Barack Obama intervened himself to change the language back in both cases.

“On the ‘God’ reference, the official said the president’s response was ‘why did it change in the first place?’” Fox News said.

The Venezuelan Supreme Court blocked opposition leader Juan Guaido from leaving the country and blocked all of his bank accounts.

The Venezuelan Supreme Court also blocked all of the self-proclaimed interim president’s bank accounts and financial transactions within the country’s jurisdiction on Tuesday.

The Venezuelan authorities have launched the preliminary investigation into the activities of the country’s opposition leader Juan Guaido, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a statement of the Venezuelan Supreme Court’s president.

Earlier in the day, the US Department of State certified that Juan Guaido has the authority to take control of some Venezuelan government assets.
