I'm gonna place some Flat Earth info in here for a second. I know it's not something you're probably into, but the psychology of censorship is pertinent.

These are examples of "fake news" determining the narrative for their viewers.

Flat Earth strikes a serious nerve with many. Used to for me, but I'm way past that now. The trigger though, has impacts on what people are allowed to know.

Anons knows this tactic all too well. Just throwing this up here in the name of Sci-Fi psyops.

*now you can get mad and shout "shill" from the rooftops. But I'm going to post a few more observations. Thanks, Anons!

Because the shape of the Earth is immutable, presumably, unless it's all a psychological wave of a wand, a discussion of its shape should encourage science enthusiasts to invite discussion of the shape of the planet in order to better engage with the scientific methodologies and processes.

This is not what happens at all… ridicule is the first impulse, followed by… well, more ridicule, then threats, and then eventually if possible bans and the like. If it's not possible to ban the discussion, then opponents of free speech and free thought (because that's what they are) generally result to consensus bias techniques to sway those who may come across topics deemed undesirable.

For example,

This article determines for the reader what is an acceptable line of questions by using subtle (not really) psychological ploys to sway the reader away from the "taboo" topics of flat earth.

What they do not do is employ the mathematics and the "science" that determines these self-evident facts to be… well, self-evident.

Whether the earth is flat, or round, or spherical, or a bobby pin attached to a turtle's long-flowing locks is completely irrelevant to the idea that a discussion about the shape of the earth does little, if nothing at all, to determine the shape of said earth.

So, then, why the need for suppression, censorship, ridicule and control?

As many would have you believe, we are blessed with thousands of years of observations, done at the behest of SCIENCE so that we, the non-thinking slugs of the world, can readily consume the "right knowledge" and not worry our petty weak little minds with such complexities.

Maybe this is good enough. Maybe it's not. But again, should a discussion of the shape of the planet incite the vehemence, the opposition, and the attacks that it does? Hardly, in my honest opinion. But that may be because at the end of the day, even if the world was flat and lacking in significant curvature, regular life still exists. Traffic, scones, baseball, pedo-hunts, spy-rings, Democrats, red shoes and the lot all still exist just as they had before.

So, if the shape remains unaffected by discussions, why then the need for the censorship and harshness at its mention?

Is there something more at stake?

For example, CURVATURE… Ahhhh, run for the hills. "We can't the earth is too round!"

Of course, I jest, but the Curvature is a big deal. So big that it's the spark of many a discussion about the validity of a round (spherical) earth.

But consider this, (and I'm open to thoughts, as I've never been to space and don't know for certain), if the earth's curvature is not visible from 24 miles above the Earth's surface, how is it that a ship would disappear over the horizon, due to the earth's curvature from sea level?

In the video provided, Neil Degrasse Tyson discusses the ability to see the Curvature of the Earth from the height of the Noah Baumgardner's Redbull Strato Jump.

What he points out, very clearly, is that the Curvature of the earth is not visible from Noah's jump height. And that the only reason the earth looks curved in the video is because of the warping from the fisheye lens.

If it's not possible to see the curvature of the earth with a clear visibility of multiple hundred+ miles vantage point, then why would someone expect to see a "ship go over the horizon" from shore?

These are the types of questions pertinent when looking into the flat earth query.

But should it be met with hostility and accusations as it often is? Hardly. Unless….

*Whew! I talked about the shape of the earth, is the earth still here? Please say, yes!
