Section 1. (a) Not later than 45 days after the conclusion of a United States election, the Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the heads of any other appropriate executive departments and agencies (agencies), shall conduct an assessment of any information indicating that a foreign government, or any person acting as an agent of or on behalf of a foreign government, has acted with the intent or purpose of interfering in that election.
November 6, 2018 mid-terms + 45 days = December 21, 2018 = Deadline to deliver Assessment to President.
(b) Within 45 days of receiving the assessment and information described in section 1(a) of this order, the Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the heads of any other appropriate agencies and, as appropriate, State and local officials, shall deliver to the President, the Secretary of State, the Secretary of the Treasury, and the Secretary of Defense a report evaluating, with respect to the United States election that is the subject of the assessment described in section 1(a):
December 21, 2018 + 45 days = February 4, 2019 = Deadline for a SECOND report evaluating the first Assessment.
Information collected was in the first Assessment. An Evaluation of this information will be in the 2nd report. The EO authorizes specific actions on the findings of the second report (Evaluation), where specific foreight actors will be identified and Sanctions, such as blocking assets, will be recommended.
Considering the government shutdown, it’s likely that the AG and DHS are still pushing to complete the report, although DJT and major players surely know what’s in it. Public disclosure of the report not likely until after the February 4 deadline.
A lot of things lining up for February 5, 2019.
Some people might have been expecting fireworks on the December 21, deadline. However, public information about the investigations for interfering in the election would not occur until the findings of the Evaluation report are published. It's also likely some bureaucratic wonkiness will be thrown into the mix, but the 2018 Election is still in play Anons.
