What I was about to post on my school's discussion thread, but was getting off-topic; thought I would share it here just cuz (mainly thanks to Q Team for destroying my fear but wasn't about to drop that in the school thread…pussed out lol maybe for a later topic):
I'm so for more positive news headlines. I'd much rather hear about some farmer donating surplus food, rather than some peasants getting bombed out in some desert. Negative headlines really target peoples emotions and fears. I was actually worried that we were all going to die in a nuclear holocaust because of Trump and North Korea.
What exacerbated that fear was the daily, weekly, articles of implying it was a sure consequence. I felt helpless, that it was a done deal. I can't imagine our parents' and grandparents' generation having to go through atomic bomb drills in school. So, what I've come to realize is I don't need old, Cold War propaganda in my life and the media's plan backfired–it makes me want to vote for Trump in 2020 if he runs. Just for proving them wrong. Dennis Rodman actually helped in the peace deal which is so far out, but why not?
Generation X and older generations have really set us up for greatness…
