Likewise, except I do know how to fix cars, install a furnace, wire up a small building, etc. Wish I had gone into a trade but went and collected degrees to make my dad happy (fuck being raised by an alcoholic, will make one into a people pleaser). Heard plenty of stories about these "brilliant" academics and witnessed plenty of stupidity coming from so-called "critical thinkers." The finance dept chair who didn't know if he should refinance a fixed rate mortgage (at 4%) that he got when interest rates were 18%. Or the dean of the college of business who couldn't figure out how to build a porch with a level roof.
