Carpenters are some of the happiest folks I know. Another friend of mine specializes in high end molding installation (crown molding, baseboards….etc) & really makes good money. I’m currently making concrete countertops….big demand for less expensive creative countertops.

Concrete counters aren’t expensive if you don’t make them solid through and through. Instead, create a hollow underbelly and reinforce the thinner layer of concrete with rebar.

Fiberglass is good too, but when you go to sand and smooth out the top the fiberglass has a tendency to show which requires more steps to conceal. Rebar doesn’t require that.
