BREAKING: The Super Bowl Audience Will Officially Get A MAJOR Dose Of Trump
There is good news for CBS and their airing of the Super Bowl LIII this year. Rather than boycott the game (which some may have thought the POTUS would do) the Commander-in-Chief is actually going to give the network a HUGE BOOST in ratings.
Yes, folks, Trump has agreed to sit down for an interview. From the Washington Post:

Yes, folks, Trump has agreed to sit down for an interview. From the Washington Post:
The interview, according to CBS, will be recorded Friday and part of it will be shown during “Face the Nation.” The rest will be shown during CBS’s pregame coverage, at around 3:30 p.m. Eastern time.
This is a big win for CBS who is airing a game that had dismal ratings last year, according to Forbes:
Last year’s Super Bowl (on NBC) averaged 103.4 million viewers, the lowest average audience since 2009. Based on improved ratings this season, we can expect the audience for Super Bowl LIII to improve but fall short of the record (114.4 million viewers, set in 2015).
And why, do ask, were the ratings so low?
The reason is the same reason why politicians ratings go down — they were mocked by Trump. Like it or not, his words have power within his base. Check out what the New York Times had to say about his “heckling”:
Instead, Trump became a heckler from the bully pulpit. His attacks on the league began during the campaign, especially after Colin Kaepernick and then other players knelt during the national anthem to protest police violence against African-Americans. A week before the election, for example, at a campaign rally in Greeley, Colo., he jeered Kaepernick, citing the quarterback as a reason the N.F.L. was “way down in the ratings.”

VOTE NOW: Should Nancy Pelosi Be Removed From Office?
Yes, friends and foes, his words have power, LIKE IT OR NOT. So it’s an incredible gift that Trump is giving to NBC, especially after all of the negative press they have given him. You can see his opinion of NBC from his own words through Twitter:
So say your thanks to whomever it is that you pray to for ratings that are sure to be better than you deserve, CBS.
