Well, it's something I've been digging on for a whileโ€ฆ. imho, Kabbalah is purely a 13th Century phenomenon, and it's origin lies solely with Moses de Leon.

I don't buy for a second that Shimon bar Yochai had anything to do with it.

So then, the question is, how does that transfer to the Knights Templar?

I think it has something to do with Jerusalem, and whatever they established there.

I understand the Babylonian (and the more ancient Sumerian) ties. But it's the thread of tradition that gives us a foundation to build on with facts.

"Their symbols will be their downfall".

Because, with the symbols, you can recognize characters, players, and networks. Influences, and the web of connections.

So, for instance, people talk about the Zohar as this "amazing 2nd century document"โ€ฆ.

It's not a fucking 2nd Century document. They do that to paint it with the same legitimacy as Christians do the New Testament, which lends credibility.

That's manipulation magic.

So there, we recognize the pattern of behavior that we can draw on to make other further connections.
