To answer other anons question what will trigger the next shift will be a change in the Thermal Haline Current taking warm water thru the NW passage. This will almost immedietely start continental glacier formation due to precipitation in the polar deserts. Its all about Ocean currents.
Whether a pole shift is another factor I do not know.
