God makes rules and passes judgement He can not go against His nature and that is perfection. All deaths of the innocent will be on they hands humans who try to deal make out of God's perfection. This is exactly why you can do good works and earn your way to heaven, what you are considering as compromise and good, God sees and sinful and bad. It is not that hard to simply follow what He has shown. Show love to all life regardless of a number on a calendar!
