This Polar Vortex has Power and Gas companies concerned for supply meeting demand. Large consumers (manufacturers) were contacted Wednesday and told they must shut down operations to reduce their consumption of power and gas. Many employers are telling employees to stay home and minimal crews are keeping equipment from freezing up.
