WASHINGTON – Two of U.S. President Donald Trump’s senior advisers on the Middle East will attend the upcoming international summit in Poland aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Middle East alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior representatives from Arab countries.
Jared Kushner, the Trump's son-in-law and close adviser, and Jason Greenblatt, the president's special envoy to the Middle East, will participate in the discussions in Warsaw in two weeks, which will focus on pushing back against Iran’s influence and restoring stability to the region.
The participation of Kushner and Greenblatt at the event means that there could also be some discussions about the Trump administration’s Mideast peace plan, a project the two advisers have been working on for the past year and a half. The plan is supposed to be released at some point after the Israeli election in April, although no clear date has been set. Some countries in the region are skeptical that it will be published, after there have been reports anticipating its release ever since last summer.

LONDON/NEW YORK (Reuters) - A Venezuelan creditors’ meeting in London on Thursday to discuss how to handle the cash-strapped country’s request to restructure some $60 billion in outstanding bonds drew sovereign debt advisers including Rothschild, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
The meeting, organized by UK-based hedge fund MacroSynergy Partners, aimed to discuss a likely path forward on debt issued by the government and state-owned oil company PDVSA, as well as whether to form an informal, ad-hoc bondholder committee, according to an invitation seen by Reuters.
Among those in attendance were lawyers from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, including Lee Buchheit, a partner who specializes in sovereign debt restructurings.
Rothschild (ROTH.PA), the Paris-based global advisory firm, also participated, two sources familiar with the meeting told Reuters, a sign that top financial firms are interested in advising on what could be one of the world’s most complex sovereign debt workouts ever.
Investors participating in the meeting declined to comment afterward. Rothschild and Cleary Gottlieb officials did not immediately return phone calls seeking comment.

Her husband and his sisters, Jacqueline and Bethsabée, had been raised at the Château de Ferrières in the country outside of Paris. Seized by the Germans during the occupation of France in World War II, the château remained empty until 1959 when the newlywed Rothschilds decided to reopen it. Marie-Hélène took charge of refurbishing the huge château, making it a place where European nobility mingled with musicians, artists, fashion designers and Hollywood movie stars at grand soirées. Much talked about for the lavish and creative theme balls and charity fundraisers she organized both in Paris and New York, in 1973, she brought together five French couturiers and five American designers for a fashion show at the Théâtre Gabriel in the Château de Versailles.[3]
She hosted regular parties at the Château, mainly inviting aristocracy, but which also included her friends from a wider society such as Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn (with whom she was a close friend).[4]
In 1975, Château de Ferrières was gifted to the chancellery of the universities of Paris by Guy and Marie-Hélène de Rothschild but they retained the home they had built in the woods surrounding the château.
