I think they turned on him because it is all falling apart. I think they are reacting to the unexpected chaos by tossing him out of the group and trying to deflect onto him and hide their guilt at the same time. I think they are baffled too. Kind of like a cargo cult mentality. They are doing the actions and saying the words that have always worked and always gotten the reactions they sought, but now it is no longer working. Too many know, and way too many normies are starting to sense that things are wrong for that to work. Also most government employees are 95-110 iq. Not very creative.
