I bet the atmosphere in the kid's classroom wrt learning didn't. Did she send the 'mean looking' cops in to help out the kid's teachers? Those teacher's who who had been crossing themselves every time they had looked on the absence sheet in the morning and saw that the kid's name was on it, that is.
