oh yeah.
I'm the main 'digger' on the possibility of Priestap being FBIAnon so I'm well aware. Intimately actually, of Priestap's history and (open source info) involvement.
I actually predicted that he was likely kept 'in the dark' with Strzok reporting directly to McCabe. It just made sense, given the timeline, that htey wou'dnt trust Priestap, to be fully read in.
That's a fair statement.
But just because he was in the CoC does not mean he was involved, or corrupt. Remember there are many 'good' caught up in the 'bad'.
He's got a pretty stellar career prior to this mess and it's pretty well ruined him too, even if he wasn't actually involved.
He was in the SDNY prior to moving to DC in Dec 2015 - which would put him smack in the middle of the Weinergate stuff. It seems likely he was given a promotion to get him 'out' away from that investigation as well as to put him right where he can be set up as the fall guy should things go south but in a way they could manage.
well.. they went south and they're fucked.
Just sayin… don't smear him too much until there's something hard to point at.
