I don't doubt what I have learned here. But from this anons pov. It is hard to see the ’light’ others are excited about. It is really bad in ble states. I never before was afraid of my neighbors. I pray all the time that something big enough will happen for them to wake up. But instead they have gone deeper into their ideology and it truly scary. I am moving in the spring but it's hard to leave your life behind. I know now that justice is an illusion.

Kickemuit Middle School in Warren closed Friday due to 'staff illness'

Rhode Island

teacher at Kickemuit Middle School told NBC 10 News that she and other educators at the school have been concerned about student and staff safety.

She said while they tried to work with the administration during the past year and a half to address and resolve several concerns, nothing has changed.

“These attempts by the Bristol Warren Education Association to work with the BWRSD have not resulted in satisfactory actions by the administration to ensure provisions of a well-organized and disciplined school, despite our willingness to be part of a proactive plan to address the escalating behaviors of students at KMS,” the teacher said. “As a result, the BWEA members at KMS have been enduring undue stress and anxiety over their daily frustrations of trying to provide a positive learning experience to all students despite the constant disruptions of a growing number of students.”

A few parents called NBC 10 late Thursday night, noting that said they received an automated message at 10:15 p.m. that the school will be closed Friday “due to high illnesses in the adults.”

Parents said no other details were given and that they had parent-teacher conferences after school and nothing was mentioned.

‪Warning signs missed in home where Warwick girl died

Michele Rothgeb, the Warwick woman now charged with neglect in the death of one of eight special-needs children in her care, for years got what amounted to second chances from child-care officials, according to records dating back to 2006.

Michele Rothgeb, the Warwick woman now charged with neglect in the death of one of eight special-needs children in her care, seemed to benefit for years from what amounted to second chances from child-care officials.

And in the case of her last adoption, in July, she may have also benefited from a deficient home-assessment report, a required document prepared by state social workers and reviewed by a Family Court judge before ruling on an adoption request.

"In my opinion, there were pieces in the home study that were missing," Trista Piccola, the director of the Department of Children, Youth and Families, told The Journal on Tuesday.

A proper "home study" report would have detailed all the particular needs of each of the seven other children in the home, Piccola said, so the judge had, in writing, a complete picture of the home environment and the challenges facing Rothgeb, a single parent.

ANSTON — Social workers of Service Employees International Union Local 580 last night overwhelmingly voted no confidence in Department of Children, Youth and Families Director Trista Piccola.

According to union president Kathy McElroy, only three of the 200 members present at the Cranston Portuguese Club voted against the motion.

"A lot of it is this is stemming from this case with the young child that died in Warwick," said McElroy, referring to the death of 9-year-old Zah-Nae Rothgeb. "The way it has been handled is kind of the culmination [of issues] for them.

"They feel that a lot of the decisions that have been made under this administration are putting children at risk."

A man has been arrested in Atlanta after an alleged sexual assault at an area nightclub was streamed on Facebook Live earlier this month, CNN reports. The man, identified as Dominique Williams, 34, was charged with aggravated sodomy after law enforcement obtained a video taken at Opera nightclub which showed “a black female being groped on her chest and possibly being raped from behind” screaming, “‘no, stop,’” according to a Jan. 20 police report. “In the video you can clearly hear the female saying, ‘Stop, please somebody help me,’” the report states. Williams, who reportedly turned himself in Tuesday after police obtained a search warrant for his arrest, remained in custody Thursday afternoon. His lawyer, Shequel Ross, wrote on Instagram that there is “no evidence that supports that Mr. Williams raped or sexually assaulted” the alleged victim. “Our client and his innocent family members have endured harassment as a result of this rush to judgement (sic) without reviewing facts,” she continued. The unnamed victim’s attorney, L. Chris Stewart, said Williams' arrest was "vindication" for her.
