Has any anon noticed a tectonic shift in normie radicalization lately? I just broke up with a normie gf and her crazy family, it feels like in the last 6 months the amount of leftist insanity that they spewed increased by an order of magnitude or more. Shit like idolizing black people, getting radical on abortion, shitting on religion as weak, etc, all of it just turned up to 11 recently. Anyone else?

Supposedly there’s 5% that will never recover afterwards, or thereabouts. Any ideas on trying to change that for the better? They’re still Americans, and hence worth an attempt at saving, stats be damned. if anyone has the meme magic to mold them, it’s us.

I’ve been trying to find something that they hate (besides white people) and corrupt it to cause cognitive dissonance. Any ideas?

I suppose it doesn’t have to be hate, that’s just what resonates with my experiences as a method to change ones mind. It’s like, there’s a sense of power gained through defending or echoing the waves of those who “are oppressed”. The key is to either short circuit that feedback loop, ie cause them to not be able to wholeheartedly echo the sentiment because of what they value not gelling with what they are saying, or to rob the social incentive and hope the opinion normalizes over time, or finally to rewrite who is and is not “the oppressed”. My gut says it’s probably smartest to target the second and third at the same time— they won’t change their mechanism of action because it’s been habituated, but they might change their target and then hopefully lose interest/reform without the accompanying social rewards/in face of social shame.

So, here’s my beef with memes (not really a beef)

Right now, they’re targeted to people who use twitter and maybe people on Facebook. The most resistant portions of the population are those who primarily use Instagram or Snapchat or other friend-network based communication apps. These are made to serve experiences, not ideas, and a good meme may not penetrate those networks unless it’s live action and shared by trusted sources. In addition, there are large subgroups of the population we need to reach as well— sports lovers, for one, that are fields ripe for memeing, I am just not quite sure how. What kind of marketing can anons get into to just ask the right question? Could we pool our money and buy a Super Bowl local ad?

I went through that too, except we aren’t together anymore. At least she’s still with you, while that’s the case there’s still hope that she might believe. Cast your cares on the Lord, fren.
