North or west texas. Well actually anywhere in rural Texas. Pick a city/town that's under 200k ppl then youre pretty much good to go. There are even some great very small towns (~5k ppl) 45 mins outside of Austin like Giddings.

It depends what you do for a living. There is TONS of money up for grabs in permian basin oil patch. crazy area to live though. it never stops out there and lots of partying but also vote red.
That's kind of like the area of Texas im in. Cattle and goats everywhere. I have some land with my own animals. Creeks and lakes all around and TONS of red white and blue gun owners. love it out here in the country.
