This is where being an autist can be very beneficial to one's mental well-being.

The only thing you can do is learn and try not to repeat the mistake.

 

This is what separates "normal" human beings from the 4-6% of the population that are

psychopaths/sociopaths.

They will make what most people consider a mistake, and as long as they can work it to their advantage (hiding it, spinning it, etc.), they'll have no compunction repeating that mistake if they feel they can derive some benefit.

 

(I presume) Dianne Feinstein wasn't on the verge of crying because she felt bad about all of the things she's done…she was on the verge of crying because she got caught.

 

Chins up, fallible anons…no one is perfect, and the fact that you are examining your life means it is well worth living.
