Are there any electricianfags here?

 

Working on a 200A panel that has breakers double tapped. Want to replace them with pic related. Do I have to be careful to stay under 200A worth of individual breakers?

 

Main breaker should trip if there's a problem, but not sure what NEC says.

Double-tapping refers to sticking two wires into one breaker, which is unsafe because of arcing, etc.

You can buy a double breaker that fits into a single breaker slot to separate the two circuits.
