You sound legit, so I'll spell it out. Actually I think you're catching a major point that hasn't really caught on yet.
I think this is a long-planned right wing takedown. It doesn't matter whether anyone on the right really thinks this is much ado about nothing. The point is that the left can be made to turn on Northam, and they are doing exactly that.

you have a really good point that I suspect hasn't fully caught on yet since this is just beginning.
This is a guy who just days ago was more or less fully endorsing the killing of live babies.
Now he has been exposed as making some jokes that would be considered more tasteless and offensive today than they were when he made them.
And why is the Left turning on him? (Hint: not for killing babies.)
Now that I think about it, you can even ask this question just about blacks: do leftists get more outraged about killing black babies or about a guy making a somewhat off-color racial joke decades ago?
