I'm old enough to remember when a lot of the severely handicapped kids they put into public schools today were provided for in more capable, clinical settings.

Sure, interaction and inclusion is good for all the kids. But when they wheel in a non-verbal, cathered, diapered, tube-feeder and park him in the corner of a regular public classroom??? That's not good for anybody involved. Including the 3/4 of the class that don't speak English….
