Shame. As with just about every independent vet, the practice was bought out by a conglomerate called VCA a few years ago. IIRC, MARS just bought VCA, which was 2nd only to Banfield (already owned by MARS) for largest chain. Is there anything MARS does not own in pet "care"? Creepy!
