New Images Appear Of Russian Autonomous, Unmanned "Hunter" Drone

The world first got wind of Russia's massive, 20-ton stealth drone fighter last summer when Russian defense industry sources told TASS, a Russian state-owned media outlet.

According to the defense official, the sixth generation jet program “has not yet taken full shape, its main features are already known.”

“First of all, it should be unmanned and capable of performing any combat task in an autonomous regime. In this sense, the stealth drone will become the prototype of the sixth generation fighter jet,’ the source said, adding that the drone will be able to “take off, fulfill its objectives and return to the airfield.”

“However, it will not receive the function of decision-making regarding the use of weapons – this will be decided by a human,” he said.

Well, as LiveJournal now reports, new images of the first prototype of the unmanned recon-strike drone - nicknamed "Hunter" - have been taken at the airdrome of the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant.

This model is undergoing factory ground tests there from November 2018. The start of the prototype flight tests of the prototype is scheduled for 2019.

As we noted previously, Sam Bendett, a researcher at the CNA Corporation and a member of CNA’s Center for Autonomy and AI, told Defense One, “Sounds like Russia wants everything to be included into the new design at once. In reality, they will probably have to compromise, selecting more realistic qualifications for the new aircraft. Most importantly, this will be an expensive endeavor, further pushing Russian designers and the Ministry of Defense to be more selective in approving the final aircraft specs. However, some qualifications, like optional manning, autonomy and some form of artificial intelligence will probably be included

Radioactive cesium above legal limit detected in fish caught off Fukushima

JIJI Press

FUKUSHIMA - Radioactive cesium exceeding the state limit has been detected in fish caught off Fukushima Prefecture for the first time in about four years, the prefecture’s fisheries cooperatives association has said.

The cesium level of 161 becquerels per kilogram, exceeding the limit of 100, was detected in a skate, a type of ray, caught at a depth of 62 meters during test fishing Thursday.

The association stopped the shipments of skates caught in the waters. The fish will be taken off the market until safety is confirmed.

The prefecture will collect more samples for research and the central government will judge the safety of the fish.

In radiation checks of fish by the Fukushima Prefectural Government, a cesium level exceeding the limit was last detected in a stone flounder in March 2015, at 140 becquerels per kilogram.

The prefecture is home to Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc.’s crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant.

This is a common practice with the executives at all company's. It is not illegal and is tied to compensation plans for the most part. The issue with these is that it ends up being 'free money' for them. This is value taken out of shareholder's hands.

Option exercise in this case is as follows:

Price paid for options are $21.57avg

Exercised for $134.22avg

difference: $112.65

see cap 2

Exercised for $14,765,263

paid $ 2,372,700

$12,392,563

Not illegal per compensation plan rules filed with SEC.

This company reports earnings on February 28th.

This has existed for year's and most retail investors have little knowledge of how this process works. As long as the stock goes up they pay little attention to the rest of the system.

It will need to be addressed going forward. Tell everyone what you pay these people upfront in an open and honest way and do not have the ambiguity of needing to search for these plans in order to see how these people are really paid. It could be accomplished very easily with existing platforms. Tie it all together in one place so it is clear the total amount of compensation.

There are many examples of Executives taking little if no salary for the positions they hold. They make it up in this way but most people do not bother to look and see that they are well compensated in this way. They only see the small salary reported.
